"Online" Bidding is easy. Simply (i) register well before bidding starts to close and (ii) place bids directly on our "Catalogue with Photographs" page.
As the bidding starts to close (usually at 9:00 pm on the closing date), you will be able to watch the bidding in "Real Time" and bid instantaneously on the items you are following. Just go to our "Catalogue with Photographs" page and click on the "blinking" indicator button.Remember, you must have registered beforehand in order to bid.
NOTE: The "Soft Close" automatically extends the closing time of any item by 3 minutes if another bidder places a bid on that item within the new 3 minute extension.

Absentee Bids - If you prefer, we will bid on you behalf and attempt to purchase the lot or lots of your choice for the lowest price possible, and never for more than the maximum amount you indicate. This service is free. However, we accept no responsibility for failure to execute bids for any reason.
You can choose any of the following to submit absentee bids:

(a) Leave "Absentee Bids" when attending our Viewing.

(b) Simply E-mail a Note to bytownauctions@rogers.com with the following information:
(i) Name and telephone number
(ii) Lot Number(s)
(iii) Brief Description(s)
(iv) Top limit of bid in $ Cdn (not including the Buyers Premium, which will be added to your bid if you become the purchaser)

(c) Phone Us at 613-822-1457

Note:
The purchase price will be the final bid plus the Buyers Premium. All Ontario residents must add 13% HST to the above total.
Residents of other provinces are required to pay only the 5% GST portion, provided the items are shipped out of Ontario and a bonafide shipping invoice remains on file with us. No taxes apply to items shipped out of Canada, provided a bonafide shipping invoice remains on file with us.
